The Goodwood Estate, set in nearly 12,000 acres of superb Sussex countryside, attracts over 800,000 visitors each year from around the world to our calendar of internationally renowned hospitality and admired sporting events. We have a diverse range of business activities from historic motorsport and horseracing events, two golf courses, a thriving luxurious hotel and an organic farm. A unique mixture of style, verve and attention to detail has maintained our international reputation for excellence and innovation across all of our diverse businesses. The Goodwood brand is justifiably known for its values of excellence and quality and offers an inspiring working environment.

We believe in giving all of our visitors an exceptional experience, and our Housekeeping team ensures that each room or area being serviced is sparklingly clean and beautifully presented.

As Public Area Cleaner, you'll work as part of a team, cleaning and tidying designated areas to ensure that our guests have a memorable stay and feel welcome and looked after throughout. The successful candidate will have great customer service and communication skills, and will work well within a busy and co-operative team. Previous experience of working as in Housekeeping within a hotel would be preferable, but if you have some cleaning experience, meticulous attention to detail and a passion for maintaining high standards of cleanliness and presentation, we'd love to hear from you.

As a Supervisor, under the guidance of the Head Housekeeper, you will be responsible for assigning and supervising the activities of Room Attendants and Public Area Cleaners to ensure that our high standards are maintained in guest rooms, corridors, fire-exits, stairways and service areas on the assigned areas. You will take charge of the department in the absence of the Head Housekeeper so previous experience of supervising a team is essential, alongside rota planning, performance monitoring and reviews. You will also be responsible for administration and ordering of stock in the Head Housekeeper's absence.

The successful candidate will be confident, numerate and have well developed communication, customer service and interpersonal skills. You will also have meticulous attention to detail. You will have the ability to prioritise, organise and manage a diverse and complex workload, and to work under pressure along with the ability to take responsibility for your own work and decision-making.

The hours of work vary and will include shifts, weekends and bank holidays therefore applicants must have the ability to work flexibly.

Due to the rural location of the Goodwood Estate, own or reliable transport is essential.

Please note CV's will not be accepted alone without an application form.

The closing date for the receipt of applications is 27 May 2013
