You will work as part of the senior team based at the Wrenford centre, Chichester, a day service for adults with learning disabilities with moderate to complex support needs. You will enable every customer to be engaged in the local community to the best of their ability in the local community through activities and projects. For some customers this could be though a time limited programme of targeted support to build confidence and develop skills for independent living for others is could be participation in a community partnership project. You will be working to develop customer’s independence and inclusion through innovative partnership working and community collaboration. You will be committed to positive risk taking.

You will supervise the day to day operation of an agreed service area eg Towards Independence, Complex Needs and have responsibility in leading the transition process for young people entering the service from education.

You will also create centre based services designed to enable customers, with varying levels of need to reach their optimum potential. You will have excellent communication, organisational and networking skills. As a senior team member you will act as duty officer on a rota basis, responsible for the day to day management of the service in accordance with policy and procedures

You will be committed to the advancement of opportunities for people with learning disabilities. You will be able to work under pressure using your initiative as part of a highly focused professional team.

The role requires you to be able to travel with customers, some of whom have physical disabilities, to locations that are not always accessible by public transport. 

Salary £20,400 to £22,443 (16,540 to £18,197 pro rata)
