The District Council is currently supporting the production of 18 neighbourhood plans.  The post holder will be responsible for maintaining internal systems, the project management of the processes for implementation of Neighbourhood Planning and providing professional town planning advice and support. This will include supporting external stakeholders, undertaking public consultation and ensuring legal compliance.

You will work closely with communities and Council officers to achieve successful examinations and integrate Neighbourhood Plans with the Chichester District Local Plan into an effective policy and implementation framework. You must be a highly motivated self-starter with strong team-working and interpersonal skills.

You will have demonstrable experience of planning policy development and engagement at a local level and preferably within a rural environment. Excellent planning and organisational skills are essential.
