We are looking for 2 HR Assistants to join our busy teams. Your role will initially involve either:

• working in our newly established organisational development team, supporting our consultants delivering a range of high profile projects including the development of a set of core values and behaviours, increasing levels of employee engagement and reviewing our approach to managing performance.

• or reviewing policies and guidance in our policy and practice team, as well as researching HR best practice to help inform what the County Council needs to change to shape good HR practice across the organisation, and to ensure compliance with legislation.

Your practical learning at work will be complemented by attending college one day per week where you will commence your professional CIPD training alongside your work commitments

You will enjoy and thrive in this role if you are self -motivated, inquisitive and really enjoy getting involved in detail to understand and solve problems. You will need to be good at dealing with people and be able to work in a lively team environment, as well as working on your own initiative. You may already hold your Certificate in Personnel Practice or have previous experience of working in an HR team; whilst this is useful, this is not essential.

This apprenticeship will be undertaken over an 18 month period
