Transport Coordinator / Planner

£18-£20k

Monday to Friday - Hours on a Rotating Rota

Dynamite Recruitment is currently recruiting for an experienced Transport Planner/Coordinator for a growing logistics business based near Chichester.

The Role:
Primary duties include:

* Plan all freight in the best and most cost effective way whilst ensuring great customer service is always provided
* Support the team in Health and Safety & Human Resources functions (Candidate does not need previous experience in this as training will be provided)
* Managing processing and administration of all POD's
* Continually update the traffic management systems, jobs and load lists
* Provide holiday cover to one other site up to 4 weeks per year
* Assist in all new project development
* Maintain good internal and external communication
* Coordinator vehicle servicing and maintenance appointments
* Maintain a safe working environment

The Ideal Candidate:
In order to apply, candidates need to:

* Have a positive 'can do' attitude
* Have previous transport/fright coordination experience
* Have effective load planning skills
* Strong knowledge of VOSA regulations inc. drivers hours etc.
* Good geographical knowledge of UK
* Good customer service and IT skills along with a good telephone manner and strong attention to detail

This role will interview imminently and start as soon as possible so little or no notice period would be ideal but not a necessity.
