Regional Commercial Underwriter, South East region (Home Counties & London), Home & Broker based. Up to £45k plus excellent benefits.

Exciting new role has been created for an individual to develop portfolios of profitable Commercial Lines business through designated brokers.
Providing an initial on-site underwriting service for designated Brokers, and to facilitate subsequent introduction and transfer of underwriting to the Commercial Underwriting Teams.
To promote E Trading Systems including on site demonstrations for Brokers.

You will underwrite Commercial Lines business within defined authority limits and in line with underwriting strategy. Referring complex cases or those beyond authority limits to the appropriate Senior Underwriter or Manager.
Undertake general underwriting activities, dealing with Broker's queries and correspondence.
To provide an on-site underwriting service to initiate development of designated brokers relationship in order to maximise business opportunities. Provide a strategic underwriting review on account performance during the development period and develop appropriate action plans to address issues as they arise.
Promote a general awareness of other Company divisions and identifying any cross-selling opportunities.
Undertake regular visits of your broker panel to develop a profitable and mutually beneficial relationship.

To apply you must have excellent Commercial Property & Liability underwriting skills/experience.
Possess a good understanding of modern distribution channels.
Have strong negotiation and presentation skills.
Be an excellent communicator and able to deal with a wide range of individuals at various levels.
Be computer literate including good working knowledge of MS Excel.

ACII Qualified or significant progress towards a distinct advantage.
