This position will be responsible for the execution of strategic knowledge initiatives for the global B2B leadership team. This role requires the ability to combine strong analytical skills with market knowledge driven by experience and research. This position will work closely with the Director, Business Innovations, and the Director, B2B Marketing, to provide thought-provoking actionable insights to drive the business forward. This individual will also play a coaching role to teams internally to educate them on the market potential for B2B products and services in development.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for the execution of thought leadership development and strategic knowledge initiatives; provides deep analytical insight and understanding of the business, priority initiatives, and interconnections across business functions.
- Partners with senior leadership to provide a big-picture perspective; responsible for advice regarding market trends and their impact on internal strategies and plans.
- Identify and validate opportunities that will lead to growth for Wiley.
- Act as a role model within the company and external communities to positively influence change by leading by example.
- Encourage enterprise-wide knowledge sharing and leveraging existing research whenever possible.
Knowledge and Skills Requirements
- Possess a deep knowledge and understanding of high growth companies and communities, and work in conjunction with leadership to prepare insightful analyses on trends and their implications.
- Ability to articulate a strong point of view with strong oral and written communication skills.
- Superior analysis capability.
- Outstanding presentation skills.
- Prior experience with qualitative and quantitative research methodologies.
- Confident to build a network of internal and external contacts to help shape point of view.
- Ability to manage multiple, highly-complex projects simultaneously.
- Advanced degree preferred (MBA, Economics, Global Affairs, Publishing)
- 5+ years in a business analysis, industry research, management consulting, or business performance role.
- Advanced skills in PowerPoint, Prezi, and Excel.
