An opportunity has arisen for an Associate Marketing Manager within our Earth and Environment Sciences community marketing team which supports the Global Research Business Unit. Reporting to the Senior Marketing Manager, this position will be required to create and implement global marketing campaigns in support of objectives across a portfolio of water resources journals and Earth, space and environmental science books.

The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing and supporting measurable community marketing initiatives in order to establish the Wiley brand, increase community engagement and grow traffic to Wiley Online Library and wiley.com. Flexibility is required to work across product types and formats as required. The role will involve collaboration with many internal and external stakeholders in multiple locations. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in the marketing of scholarly content to a diverse group of customers spanning global markets.

Selection criteria

  • Previous experience in planning and implementing marketing campaigns and experience in product and/or community marketing would be desirable.
  • Good analytical skills
  • Highly organised with good presentation and written skills.
  • Knowledge and understanding of systems and processes which support the marketing function
  • Ability to effectively support a variety of internal and external clients.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Knowledge and understanding of systems and processes which support the marketing function, including Microsoft Office - Outlook, Word, Excel and Powerpoint
  • Self-motivated, adaptable individual who can work on their own initiative, set goals, and develop strategies and plans for meeting key business objectives
  • Develops and maintains collaborative working relationships with peers, colleagues, management, and others
  • Is able to break down complex problems/tasks into manageable parts and allocate time efficiently
  • Ability to juggle multiple priorities and to keep sight of key objectives
  • Educated to degree level or equivalent is preferred
