The University of Chichester is keen to recruit a Research Assistant with particular expertise in quantitative and qualitative research methods, to undertake an impact assessment of a programme using military ethos with school children. The post will commence in November 2014. The successful applicant will collect and analyse data before, during and after the programme, via questionnaires, interviews, focus groups and extant demographic and educational data. It is a requirement of this post that the Research Assistant will produce a report of the research findings by April 2015.
You will have demonstrable experience in research methods and an understanding of physical activity programmes with young people. You will have, as a minimum, an undergraduate qualification which included extensive teaching of research methods, and experience of data collection and analysis using a variety of methodologies. In addition, you will demonstrate excellent communication skills and the ability to work on own initiative and meet deadlines.
Hourly paid contract to undertake work between December 2014 and April 2015 (* subject to confirmation of external funding)
