The University of Chichester is committed to social work education.  In order to meet our long term strategic goals we are currently seeking a Senior Lecturer in Social Work to join the Social Work and Social Care Team.  The post holder will be expected to contribute to the design, delivery and assessment of relevant modules and programmes. 

The Department of Childhood, Social Work and Social Care runs a number of qualifying and post-qualifying social work programmes.  We are looking to recruit an experienced social worker holding academic and professional postgraduate qualifications.  We particularly welcome applications from candidates with extensive experience in adult social care and/or mental health services.

The post-holder will be required to participate in social work education and research activities at national and international levels.   S/he will be expected to undertake research, teaching and academic administration duties.  Personal qualities include exceptional organisational and communication skills and a thorough understanding of current social work policy and practice.  The a bility to enthuse and motivate students is paramount.
