An Account Executive position has arisen in our commercial sales team to manage and enhance existing business through close customer account management, order implementation and general support to the sales function of the business. This sales account role will be working with key UK media agencies, responsible for pharmaceutical product advertising and promotion.

The key scope of the role is to develop an understanding of the business, its products and services, the products and services of the company’s competitors, needs of clients/accounts, and the market.  The successful candidate will have some authority to negotiate product/service terms within defined limits with the support and guidance of their manager.  

The position requires the successful candidate to manage all customer enquiries and orders in order to deliver a professional and efficient experience to customers and ensure the smooth and timely processing of both incoming orders and renewals and maintain and increase revenues from existing clients and incoming prospects.  They would also be expected to develop a knowledge base of subjects/ Accounts to facilitate confident selling.

                        

Selection Criteria:

  • Previous experience of working in a target driven / sales environment is essential
  • Previous experience of working in a customer services environment is highly desirable  
  • Publishing experience is highly desirable
  • Previous experience of undertaking research and formulating reports in both qualitative and quantitative formats is essential
  • Must possess excellent communication skills both written and verbal  and the ability to communicate effectively through a variety of mediums (electronic, phone, face to face, body language)
  • Must possess negotiating and problem solving skills
  • Must be highly numerate
  • Articulate with attention to detail
  • Competent and efficient in Microsoft Office including Outlook, PowerPoint, Word and Excel is essential
  • Ability to prioritise their workload using their own initiative
  • Educated to A level (or equivalent).
