The Special Educational Needs & Assessment Team (SENAT) is seeking a full-time Tribunal Officer, to support the team in its statutory work with families, Education Health & Care Assessments and Plans, and its endeavours to resolve disputes and determine positive outcomes for children and young people with special needs.

You will collate, maintain, analyse and interpret a diverse range of complex data and information, produce accurate and timely information. Present findings/recommendations and exchange varied information with a range of audiences in the most appropriate format, such as preparing Local Authority responses to SENDIST when an appeal has been lodged.

You will organise, plan and meet set targets for completion of work to high standards and use initiative and discretion to interpret and resolve issues to achieve the required results. Have good working relationships with managers, partner organisations, members of the public and colleagues

You will work under the direction of a Team Manager and in collaboration with Senior Planning Coordinators and Legal Services Solicitors. Have excellent communication, IT and organisational skills. The ability to manage competing priorities and record accurately, as well as initiative and a commitment to working in sometimes stressful situations are essential qualities for the job.
