We have recently partnered with a prestigious University that is growing their suite of online further education programmes.   

 

About You

Reporting to the Programme Development Manager, the Learning Technologists will assist Instructional Designers and Faculty in developing and maintaining their suite of online further education courses.

Using tools embedded in Learning Management Systems as well as multimedia production tools and collaboration tools, the Learning Technologists will implement course designs and revisions, assist with course setup for each term, and help faculty troubleshoot technical issues.  The Learning Technologist will also assist in the development of support resources for faculty and students and explore new technologies relevant to the online classroom.

The Learning Technologists will also track, prioritize, and follow up on multiple projects to ensure course revisions are completed accurately, and that issues are resolved quickly. 

 

Selection Criteria

  • Previous experience in assisting in the development and maintenance of online courses, preferably within the further education setting;
  • Previous experience working with Learning Management Systems such as Moodle or Blackboard;
  • Previous experience of working with multimedia production and colaboration tools;
  • Experience in web development and/or online learning;
  • Good knowledge and understanding of the further education sector;
  • Must demonstrate accuracy and attention to detail in order to produce a quality product;
  • Excellent communication skills both oral and written with the ability to communicate effectively through a variety of mediums (electronic, phone, face to face);
  • Excellent time and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects;
  • Must be a self-starter with the ability to manage own workload in an efficient manner;
  • The ability to work effectively and collaboratively in teams as well as cross functionally;
  • Competent and efficient in Microsoft Office including Outlook, PowerPoint, Word and Excel;
  • Educated to Degree level (or equivalent);
  • Must have a genuine belief in the value of education.
