The Earth, Space and Environmental Sciences Community Marketing team is responsible for implementing the community marketing plan and working collaboratively with the Author Marketing, Channel Marketing and Innovations teams across the Marketing and Digital Product Management group.

 

About You

The Assistant Marketing Manager reports to the Senior Marketing Manager in Earth, Space and Environmental Sciences Community Marketing within the Marketing & Digital Product Management team.

Under the supervision of the Senior Marketing Manager, you will create and implement global marketing campaigns in support of developmental objectives for a portfolio of 60 journals and sales of front list books.

You will also work closely with the central marketing team’s designers, e-marketers and production managers and other members of the community and author marketing groups.

In addition you will also help coordinate and participate in the preparation for conferences and exhibitions and input into Wiley Earth-Wise social media channels.

 

Selection criteria

  • Previous marketing experience including marketing implementation;
  • Previous Product and/or Community Marketing experience;
  • Strong communication and good analytical skills;
  • Knowledge and understanding of systems and processes which support the marketing function;
  • Ability to juggle multiple priorities and to keep sight of key objectives;
  • Self-motivation. Team player who works collaboratively with marketers from other teams;
  • Must demonstrate accuracy and attention to detail;
  • Excellent communication skills both oral and written with the ability to communicate effectively through a variety of mediums (electronic, phone, face to face);
  • Excellent time and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects in an organised and methodical manner;
  • The ability to work effectively and collaboratively in teams as well as cross functionally;
  • Must be a self-starter with the ability to manage own work and that of the team;
  • Competent and efficient in Microsoft Office including Outlook, PowerPoint, Word and Excel;
  • Education to degree level or equivalent and/or CIM qualification.
