Specialist Day Services require a Support Worker to join the team at the Judith Adams Centre, Chichester. The service specialises in providing day time activities for people with dementia, physical disabilities and longer term, complex needs. Judith Adams also provides a Community Connections service for short term intervention for people to build confidence and access groups of interest within their own community. You will have ample opportunity to be creative within this role.
You will be required to provide person centred care; this involves getting to know the customer fully to enable appropriate activities at the right level and at the right time. The role also involves personal assistance and escort duties to collect customers attending the service. Effective communication is key to the Support Worker role, as is a ‘can do’ approach.
A Level two qualification in social care is preferable, however not essential, as a full induction and training will be provided.
Salary £15,207 to £15,941 per annum (£9,042 to £9,478 pro rata)
Permanent, Part time
Based in Chichester
22 hours per week
