We have an exciting position available in our Social Science journals team for a (Senior) Journal Publishing Assistant. The team is a vibrant and successful group that maintains and develops partnerships with some of the world’s leading organizations across the Social Sciences.
The successful candidate will provide administrative support to a small number of more senior colleagues, to help with editorial management and development of their journals and society relationships (including researching and supporting potential/new relationships, as instructed) and will independently manage a small number of journals shortly after beginning in post.
This is a client-facing role. The role could be based from either our Oxford or Chichester office.
Selection criteria
Experience of working in an office/administration
Experience of working independently without close supervision
Strong interpersonal skills
The ability to communicate effectively and accurately, both verbally and in writing
A high standard of computer literacy, including Microsoft Office
The ability to manage own workload and good organisational skills
A high standard of verbal and written English
Education to degree level or equivalent
A qualification in Social Sciences would be desirable as would experience in journal publishing
