Driver Category C HGV with Hiab Crane
Locations: Nr Chichester

We are currently looking for a Hiab Driver with a HGV Cat C licence on behalf of our client. Experience in a builders merchants or similar would hold you in good stead for this role.

The Driver HGV Category C Hiab Driver will support the branch to ensure exceptional customer service is provided as well as maintain a high standard of accuracy and efficiency.

Key Purpose of role:

•Check, pack and load orders on to vehicles and deliver to clients

•Supporting team with Yard duties as and when required

•Heavy lifting will be required at times

Key characteristics and experience that would suit this role are:

•Approachable, well presented, with positive can do attitude

•Happy working alone but also team spirited

•Organised, able to think on feet, adaptable, work flexible hours due to peak seasons

•Previous merchant trade experience extremely desirable

The key requirements for role are as follows:

•HGV Licence and HIAB Certificate (or Hiab experience)

•Less than 6 points on your licence

•Over age of 25 for insurances purposes

•Digital Tachograph

•Full CPC

•Solid understanding of Driver Legislation & Regulations

•Forklift Licence or experience preferred

Core Responsibilities:

• Accurately check quality and quantity of orders
• Reporting any damaged or compromised products or materials or incorrect orders
• Safe and secure loading of products on to the vehicles
• Efficient planning of delivery routes with a great knowledge of the surrounding area
• Completing vehicle check procedures and taking ownership of the vehicle
• Keep accurate record of driving hours and ensure all Digi Taco downloads are on time and adhere to all driving regulations including hours
• Accurate checking, completion and signing of required paperwork
• Correct reporting of incidents, accidents, vehicle faults, damage and breakdowns
• Assisting with general yard duties as and when required
