An opportunity has arisen to join the Financial Accounting team within Corporate Finance based in our Chichester offices.  Reporting to the Financial Accountant, as the Financial Accounts Assistant you will assists in producing accurate and up-to-date Distribution Agency Statements and administering monthly accruals to a tight deadline. You will also support the Financial Accountant in meeting financial reporting deadlines as well as enhancing the quality and efficiency of relevant data.

The role has a number of responsibilities and these include (but are not limited to):

• Administering monthly accruals and prepayments including insurance, freight and marketing
• Fixed Asset Accounting, including monitoring to plan, depreciation and reconciliation to Balance Sheet
• Reviewing processes and developing improvements
• Ensure compliance with the SOXA controls and processes within all areas of responsibility

Selection criteria

• You will be AAT qualified or CIMA/ACCA/ACA part-qualified.
• Experience of working in a finance environment
• Comfortable with Excel, although not essential it would be desirable if you have worked with the JD Edwards Accounting system.
• With a keen eye for detail, you must be a good communicator with a proven competence of working in a team and the ability to work to tight deadlines.
