We have recently partnered with a prestigious University that is growing their online program offering. The Student Recruitment Coordinator will be on the front lines of evaluating students to then graduate from one of several new online programs Wiley is managing for the University.

About You

An exciting opportunity has arisen for talented and driven individuals to join our Student Recruitment Team who are responsible for post-graduate recruitment and enquiries management.

As one of four Student Recruitment Coordinators, you will leverage your experience in order to motivate individuals from thinking to doing – to attract, enrol and set the stage for the retention of career orientated students.

Your key areas of responsibility include:-

  • Acting as first point of contact for prospective students considering enrolling at one of the Wiley Partners Schools which involves a high volume of outbound calls;
  • Respond to prospective student requests for information and/or guidance in a timely manner;
  • Engaging prospective students in discussion about their future (mostly by telephone) and facilitate enrolment into the institution;
  • Presenting the various programs and services of our partner school to prospective students by guiding them through a process of career choices, educational options, and enrolment procedures;
  • Building a strong relationship with prospective and current students by having the ability to listen and identify their needs;
  • Facilitate student enrolment and guide potential students through their educational selection process;
  • Mentor students from the application process through the first quarter of enrolment;
  • Responsible for managing and updating the computerized prospective student database, application paperwork, and the associated follow-up documentation;
  • Prepare all requested tracking forms accurately and on time;
  • Maintain accurate knowledge of the College’s programs, student services, and area colleges
  • Metric-based position with responsibility for maintaining student contact levels, demonstrating high level of product/program knowledge, and provide educational opportunities to qualified students.
  • Maintain contact with business and/or high school community and student service organizations as necessary;
  • Work effectively with co-workers as part of the student services team to ensure each student’s experience with the college is professional, service-focused, and productive.

Selection Criteria

  • Previous B2C sales and customer services experience;
  • Must have previous consultative sales experience guiding individuals from “thinking to doing” using an ethical approach;
  • Previous experience in educational /student services, admissions counselling, customer service, and/or employee recruitment environment is highly desirable;
  • Good knowledge and understanding of the higher education sector;
  • Excellent communication skills both oral and written with the ability to communicate effectively through a variety of mediums (electronic, phone, face to face);
  • Strong interpersonal skills in order to influence and engage with prospective students;
  • The ability to connect with prospective students representing multiple stages of life and diverse backgrounds/experiences;
  • The ability to prioritise your time effectively in relation to the business potential of customers in an organised and efficient manner;
  • Target driven with the ability to achieve goals and turn leads into real opportunities;
  • The ability to work effectively in teams and cross functionally;
  • Competent and efficient in Microsoft Office including Outlook, PowerPoint, Word and Excel;
  • Educated to Degree standard (or equivalent);
  • Must have a genuine belief in the value of education.

  • The role is predominately phone based (90-95% of the time)

  • Some travel may be required;
