Specialist Day Services require a part time Grade 5 Support Worker to join the team at The Judith Adams Day Centre, Chichester. The service specialises in providing day time activities for people with dementia, physical disabilities and or longer term complex needs. The Judith Adams Centre also provides a Community Connections service for short term intervention for people to build confidence and access groups of interest within their own community. You will have ample opportunity to be creative within this role.

The role includes leading by example in providing person centred care, getting to know the customer and their life history to enable appropriate activities at the right level and at the right time. There is an expectation to become a Moving and Handling Lead and be able to support the risk assessment process. The role involves providing personal assistance and escort duties to collect customers attending the service. Effective communication is key to the Support Worker role, as is a ‘can do’ approach.

A Level two qualification in social care is preferable, however not essential, as a full induction and training will be provided.

Salary £17,372 to £18,376 per annum (£11,737 to £12,416 pro rata)
