This active role involves collecting and delivering boxes of library items to libraries within West Sussex by using a large van. Also packing and sorting boxes of library books and other materials and loading and unloading library vehicles.

You will require excellent interpersonal and organisational skills and have experience of working as part of a team. You need to be a competent driver, aged over 21 (this is a DVLA requirement) and to have held a driving licence for at least 2 years. A flexible approach is essential, as is the ability to use your initiative.

This role involve lifting, you must possess a full clean driving license with a C1 category, as well as a Certificate of Professional Competence (Drivers) or be willing to undertake CPC training within 6 months of employment if not currently held.

The appointment will be subject to a medical and driving assessment.
