An opportunity has become available to join the Health and Safety team at Natures Way Foods. This role will form an integral part of HSE function and will be responsible for managing company processes, complying with legislation and maintaining industry best and company standards.

To ensure that procedures are being followed, developed and audited to ensure compliance and that they are in line with BSI standards, current legislation and industry best practices. You will be managing behavioural safety programs, accident, near miss and protection safety systems in line with procedural requirements.

KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Development and delivery of Environment, H&S Behavioural program, procedures and policies required by 14001 and 18001, 50001
  • Development of the Risk Management process
  • Train and support all Employee Representatives
  • To work with all teams on pursuing an environment that is safe for all employees.
  • To ensure people, equipment and process risk issues are identified, tracked and addressed.
  • To provide support to the H&S team and your manager and provide cover during periods of absence.
  • To undertake Risk assessments.
  • To undertake and communicate business critical Reports.
  • To work with Business Compliance manager, site management teams and main operational teams to ensure that NWF is pursuing new technologies

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

  • Working knowledge of Audited Standards
  • NEBOSH General Certificate (Essential)
  • Membership of IOSH (Essential)
  • Experienced within the development of or as an auditor to either 14001 or 18001 standards.
  • Excellent communcation skills
  • Good Microsoft Office, Excel and PowerPoint ability
  • Able to work unsupervised and in a fast past changing environment
