This role will contribute to Wiley’s continued growth in journals publishing with an emphasis on society acquisitions. The candidate will be responsible for the project management of the bid process, working with colleagues to complete financial modeling and proposal writing to specifications and deadlines, while also developing best practices around acquisitions.  

The successful candidate will have a proven record of success in acquiring and developing society partnerships and will be skilled at relationship management. This role requires commitment to pan organizational and global working and proven skills in financial modelling of complex bid finances. The Society Acquisitions Manager will also have significant experience in project management including scheduling, planning, reporting and developing new formats for presentation of services.

 

Selection criteria

  • Proven record of success in managing acquisitions for society business

  • Strong relationship management and project management skills are essential

  • Experience in writing persuasively and creatively

  • Proven skills in financial modelling of complex bid finances and business acumen

  • Strong communication skills

  • Experience with complex ISI metrics

  • Experience in digital product development and corporate sales an advantage

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent training/experience
