Experienced and Fully Qualified Commercial Vehicle Technician required by West Sussex Fire + Rescue Service

You will be fully competent in the service and repair of vehicles to the highest of standards. You will have a positive "can do" attitude and be willing and able to work as part of a team. Being a good team player is essential in this role, you must be able to communicate to a very high level to ensure the smooth flow of work through the workshop, liaising with your colleagues to ensure customer expectations are met and in most cases exceeded.

You will have the responsibility of service and repairing both heavy goods vehicles, and light commercials vehicles, so it would be beneficial for applicants to have an experience of servicing both.

You will have the ultimate responsibility for servicing of vehicles, carrying out checks and maintenance according to the manufacturers guidelines. You will have excellent practical skills, and the ability to work quickly, whilst ensuring the highest attention to detail,

You will be fully qualified to NVQ Level 3 or equivalent, and it would be of benefit for applicants to hold a current Class 1 Licence.

Previous experience as an HGV Vehicle Technician is essential
