We currently have a vacancy for a Research Fellow to support the Team leaders delivering a Ministry of Defence funded project developing role related, gender free, physical employment standards for the ground close combat role. You will be required to assist with the co-ordination of applied military physiology research, provide support to field studies (including leading a small team), perform data analysis, and undertake administrative tasks to support literature reviews and commercial activities. You may also undertake line management responsibilities of research assistants. You will have the following expertise; * Experience of the ground close combat environment and operational analysis * Extensive experience in applied physiological data collection in field settings * Experience of conducting research in Physical Employment Standards for uniformed services * Experience in statistical analysis, interpretation and reporting of physiological data (oral and written) * Expertise in MoD project reporting requirements * Working knowledge of current and future structure of the UK MoD * Ability to work unsupervised and lead a research team in the field You will be qualified to at least Masters Level with an MSc in Physiology or Exercise Physiology; demonstrate excellent communication and time management skills. You will also have a track record in working both independently and flexibly within a team to problem solve and achieve the overall aims of the project. There will be some travel and overnight stays required
Full time, fixed-term contract for 1 year subject to funding (Secondment considered)
