Are you a qualified Yoga or Pilates Tutor considering a fresh challenge? Are you currently looking for work starting in April? Would you like to join an experienced and developing team to grow our provision in West Sussex? Aspire Sussex are looking for Yoga and Pilates tutors to deliver courses between Burgess Hill and Crawley, working flexible hours on a fixed term contract with the possibility of becoming permanent. The tutor role will include: - Designing course (scheme of work) and lesson plans - Recognising the needs of beginners, experienced students and mixed ability groups - Teaching a wide range of yoga postures from simple moves to more complex ones - Adapting postures for individual conditions such as pregnancy or arthritis - Teaching efficient breathing habits, from basic breathing techniques to breath control exercises - Assessing and recording students' progress and achievements - Reviewing your own courses and teaching skills. We are also interested in hearing from you if you specialise in teaching particular groups such as; those considered as hard to reach, expectant or new mums , or even Women’s or Men’s only classes. Essential criteria; • Be qualified in instructing/teaching Yoga and/or Pilates • Be a member of a relevant body (YA, BWY, REPs) • Good Communication and interpersonal skills Desirable; • Hold a teaching qualification • Experience in teaching • Good IT skills Please DO NOT apply on the WSCC website.
