Children’s Social Care has undergone a major transformation to improve service delivery and outcomes for children and families.
We are looking for a Service Development Lead for Quality Assurance and Policy who will lead on Children’s Social Care’s Quality Assurance Framework and will be central to the transformation of social work practice and continuous improvement of evidence-based practice.
With both strategic and operational influence, this role requires confident and ambitious leadership.
You will develop, implement and embed a robust system of quality assurance to improve practice standards and disseminate learning, thereby improving outcomes for children, young people and their families. You will lead and manage the work of the Quality Assurance team ensuring good practice is being disseminated across the organisation.
You will follow through on any issues arising from quality assurance activities ensuring appropriate action is taken and lessons are learnt, including lessons from serious cases reviews, and that these are embedded in practice. You will formulate and develop policies, procedures and guidance, taking in to account views of stakeholders, and gaining appropriate ownership and approvals.
You must hold/have the following:
• Qualified Social Worker registered with the Health and Care Professions Council
• Demonstrable experience of developing, implementing and embedding quality assurance mechanisms to practice and enhance outcomes for children, young people and their families
