We are a vibrant, successful and growing institution with a distinctive identity and a strong sense of mission and purpose. With around 5,300 FTE students (4,500 of which are full-time) the performance of the University belies its size. NSS scores have been consistently high for a decade and student retention is outstanding. Together with a strong track record in widening participation, the league table results reflect the University's student-centred community of learning. Our focus on high quality teaching is demonstrated by our placing in the top 20 Universities in recent mock TEF results. We have recently invested over GBP 50 million in infrastructure development. The largest project, a new Engineering and Digital Technology Park, is scheduled to break ground at the Bognor Regis campus in 2016-17. This strategic development will increase student numbers by over 1,000 undergraduates and postgraduates. Our Board of Governors invites applications from individuals of exceptional calibre seeking to take up the appointment of Vice-Chancellor following the retirement of Professor Clive Behagg in April 2017. His successor will be a trusted, collegial and inspirational leader who will develop the University's Vision and strategic plans further, and act as a strong ambassador internally and externally.
