Are you looking to expand your skills in a dynamic and busy team? The West Sussex Safeguarding Children Board (WSSCB) Business Team is looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to provide coordination across our diverse work streams.

The WSSCB is a partnership of agencies working together to improve the way they keep children safe in West Sussex and improve their well-being. This includes agencies such as Police, Health, Local Authority, Probation, Districts & Boroughs, Schools and the Voluntary sector. Working in the WSSCB Business Team you will provide support across all aspects of the Board’s work including communications, event organisation, business planning, training and administration.

As an excellent communicator you will facilitate points of communication into and out of the team. We receive a wide range of enquiries and you will coordinate activity on the WSSCB website and social media. The delivery of multi-agency staff engagement sessions and staff roadshows to raise the profile of the WSSCB will also be part of your role.

If you are confident in your organisational skills, are experienced in facilitating and minuting complex meetings, are comfortable working in a fast paced environment, positively respond to new ideas and take the initiative this would be a fantastic opportunity for you.

Whilst the role will handle sensitive and sometimes distressing information relating to individual children and you will be expected to competently handle confidential information you will be well briefed and supported in this important role.
The post is mainly based in Chichester but the post holder will frequently be required to travel to other areas of the county, such as Horsham and Worthing, for meetings and events.
