Health, Safety and Workplace Wellbeing Consultant Corporate HR About the Council: We believe health, safety and employee wellbeing to be of the utmost importance and have a vital role to play in the overall success of the Council’s performance. We are committed to effectively manage risks that may be faced by staff, customers and others affected by what we do. About the role: You will be the Council’s Health and Safety competent person and as such will advise our senior leaders and elected members. You will focus on the management and compliance of health, safety and employee wellbeing across the Council through monitoring health & safety governance and performance. In addition you will provide advice and guidance on training and risk assessment to our managers and have a key role in developing our wellness agenda with our partners. You will also conduct regular site visits to evaluate contractor competence and as subject matter expert you will monitor service performance of our partners in Capita. You will oversee the investigation of incidents and accidents. About you: Your Health, Safety & Wellbeing experience will mean you understand the importance of risk assessments and audits. With strong stakeholder management and relationship building skills you can explain complex technical information clearly. Your planning and organisation skills mean that you can effectively prioritise a diverse workload and deliver to tight timescales. You can demonstrate a positive and inclusive approach..
