We are seeking a well experienced AAT4 level or part qualified ACA or ACCA bookkeeper/accountant to work as an Accounts Administrator to cover a one year fixed term maternity contract for our Global client based in the Chichester area with a competitive salary being offered of £20,000 - £26,000 pending on experience.
Ideal candidate would have a proven track record in accountancy with an excellent understanding of double entry bookkeeping up to management and annual accounts production including budgets, have the ability to work independently and solve problems with excellent standard of accuracy and attention to detail and good IT skills including Microsoft Excel. A high standard of literacy and communication skills are also required for this position.
Duties will include invoice creation, allocating payments, credit control, investigating & resolving PAYE and NI queries raised by HMRC, assisting in the setting up of pension schemes, preparation and checking of quarterly VAT returns, journal entries, assisting with forecasting and budgets, assisting with annual accounts preparation including the production of schedules for the auditors.
Hours of work are Monday to Friday 37.5 hours a week, normal office hours and 4 weeks paid holiday. The start date will be 1 December 2016 for a handover period.
