Are you passionate about supporting people with learning disabilities to get the best out of life? We have a senior practitioner vacancy, working within Community Learning Disability Team North. The team is a well established and supportive multidisciplinary team which works with adults with a learning disability.

If you are suitably qualified – registered social worker or registered nurse (LD) and have relevant post-qualifying experience and preferably experience of working with adults who have a learning disability -we would like to hear from you. As a senior practitioner your role will include supervision of staff, overseeing the duty desk and managing safeguarding, working with a small but complex caseload and leading on areas of practice as agreed with managers. You will positively contribute to the day-to-day running of the team to ensure a high quality and good value service to customers.

With skills in assessment of need, safeguarding and risk management, you will communicate effectively with adults with learning disabilities, carers and other stakeholders. You will also have good basic IT skills.
