Do you want to make a positive contribution to the lives of people who receive care at home? An exciting opportunity has arisen to work in a small commissioning team based in Chichester that covers the whole of West Sussex.

We are looking for a candidate with experience and knowledge of contracted services and working with multiple internal and external stakeholders. The current portfolio of the team includes but is not limited to domiciliary care at home, reablement, telehealth/telecare, meals on wheels, end of life care and care and support within prisons.
Some knowledge of the Care Act, Better Care Fund, social care, health and service delivery would be desirable.

As a Contracts Officer you will play a key role in the Commissioning Team by providing day to day project support, contract monitoring, analysing dashboard information, providing support and gathering information on our procurement system and reporting on the activity of the Better Care Fund (BCF). The role will also be involved with a range of work projects linked to the portfolio and being an initial point of contact for the providers of the services we commission.

Effective organisational skills, communication and IT skills will be required in order to help the team commission to best effect for carers in West Sussex.
