Aspire Sussex Ltd plans, promotes and delivers vibrant adult education across Sussex, enabling people to achieve their aspirations. We are looking for additional Yoga, Pilates and Group Exercise tutors across West Sussex, to join our Community Learning Faculty team to deliver sessional courses to adults (19 years plus) We are also interested in hearing from tutors who specialise in teaching particular groups such as those considered as hard to reach; expectant or new mums; or even Women’s or Men’s only classes. The tutor role will include: • Designing course (scheme of work) and lesson plans; • Recognising the needs of beginners, experienced students and mixed ability groups; • Assessing and recording students’ progress and achievements; • Reviewing your own courses and teaching skills.

Applicants should be qualified in instructing/teaching Yoga, Pilates or Group Exercise and a member of a relevant body (YA, BWY, REPs); candidates should ideally have a Level 3 or higher teaching qualification along with a relevant teaching experience; they should be able to adapt teaching and learning strategies and select resources as appropriate in order to meet student needs. In addition applicants will need excellent communication and interpersonal skills and have the ability to lead, develop and motivate adult students to achieve their learning goals. Excellent record keeping skills and the ability to demonstrate relevant ICT skills including Microsoft Office will also be needed.
