The Property and Asset Records (PAR) Team within Property Services are looking for a CAD Technician to join the team to provide essential CAD drawing and surveying skills.

PAR is a small team responsible for, amongst other resources, Records Information, Property Plans and key Asset Management Data. Continued responsibilities and a commitment to sustain this service have provided the team with the opportunity to employ a dedicated CAD operative.

As well as providing a drawing office service PAR maintains a directory of building floor plans. Asset Management places a significant reliance on the accuracy of such plans and the dynamic nature of the property portfolio and of the ever-increasing investment in these assets requires that the plans be efficiently maintained.

Evolving the use of Floor Plans is an essential requirement and you will have a significant role in developing and promoting the team through the work that they will undertake. You will also ensure that a continued reliable and high quality service is provided to all clients.

The principle responsibilities of the post include creating, maintaining, updating & delivering CAD based Floor Plans as well as undertaking site visits and surveys to verify the accuracy of drawings.

You will also establish lines of communications and implement procedures to ensure that up to date building detail is provided to maintain the accuracy of all floor plans. Assist in the management and maintenance of the Property databases and associated information, including the synchronisation of drawing information.

You will be experienced in a (measurement) surveying discipline and will possess a minimum C&G 4351-0011 qualification in CAD. You will also be conversant in IT, Microsoft Office and AutoCAD software.

Experience of drawing construction and building detail is desirable.
