The Youth Emotional Team provide Information, Advice and Guidance (IAG) and Intensive Support Case Work for young people from 11-18 years old, who have emotional wellbeing vulnerabilities. The team will provide assessment and triage service to place the right support package in place via a range of services which include counselling, on-line support and face to face group and one to one case work. The team will work closely with partners which include Youth Intervention, KOOTH, YMCA Dialogue, CAMHs, families and other professionals to provide a connected service with a focus on emotional health and wellbeing; the aim of the team will be to reduce the numbers of young people needing a high level service such as CAMHs as well as supporting transition to adult services and stepping down across the continuum of need. You will act as a senior worker responsible for supporting the Youth Emotional Support Team in delivering this service effectively, to a high standard and to the relevant national policy and legislation. This role will focus on creating positive outcomes for children, young people and adults. You will be responsible for the development of a range of service related strategies, policies and work programmes to ensure that complex specialist work is carried out to high professional standards. The role will be expected to take direct responsibility for providing complex advice, relating to the specialist area. To assist with the management of the day-to-day service (in particular quality and supervision), including motivating specialist officers in order to carry out the specific function of the group to a high, customer focussed standard.
