We are seeking an enthusiastic yet highly professional individual to manage the Pupil Entitlement Fair Access team. The role is pivotal in achieving the best outcomes for children who are most vulnerable. You will need to demonstrate proven experience in managing complex cases, leading a team and delivering a service to very high standards. We are also keen to invite those with a wealth of experience in working with other agencies to optimise the potential for children who face their own challenges. You will be working with colleagues in all areas of Education and Skills and in particular the Pupil Entitlement Service which includes Safeguarding in Education, Investigation and School Admissions.

This post is located within the Pupil Entitlement Team in Education and Skills but will require significant liaison with all areas of the Education and Skills Directorate, Childrens Operations including Childrens Social Care and the Integrated Prevention and Earliest Help Service and the Local Safeguarding Childrens Board (LSCB) and its partners.

This is a key role which delivers a professional, visible customer focused service dealing with highly complex access and exclusion services throughout the county. This is achieved through the provision of effective leadership and management of the specific area in Fair Access and the strategic development of the service in the context of current and new legislation and changing requirements by Ofsted.
