About the Role

Are you interested in a career in business administration?

This is an opportunity for a self-motivated person to undertake an Apprenticeship within the Buzz Active Group, the council's outdoor and activity provider arm. Buzz Active covers the Duke of Edinburgh Award Programme, our two Outdoor Activity Centre, our land-based partnership at Bushy Wood and the Outdoor Education Management portfolio. You will be learning and training alongside experienced staff. Based predominantly in Eastbourne you will undertake qualifications, including a recognised Level 2 qualification, with a training provider and have a mentor or supervisor in the work place to support you.

You will gain experience in Microsoft applications, organising meetings and events, and general office administration. The training will give you the knowledge, skills and experience you will need for a future career in administration.

You will be trained and supported in a number of roles including filing, answering phone calls from schools and clients, using databases, taking bookings, taking meeting notes and interacting with members of the council.

There will be the opportunity to undertaken level 1 watersports courses in wind-surfing, sailing and Stand Up Paddle-boarding.

Additional Information

Your starting salary will be pro rata if the above position is part-time or term-time only.

Work Permits: we may be able to obtain a Work Permit for this post but this is subject to meeting the requirements of the UK Border Agency’s Points-based Immigration System.
