You will work as part of a team based at the Wrenford Centre, a vibrant and dynamic day service for adults with learning disabilities. You will support people with high levels of dependency and complex needs. Your role is to enable every customer to be engaged in appropriate activities and their local community to the best of their ability. For some customers this could be through a time-limited programme of targeted support to build confidence and help develop skills for independent living. You will be required to run sessions to achieve agreed outcomes.
You will encourage and stimulate customers through the provision of outcome based care that promotes independence, community engagement and enables them to develop and / or maintain daily living skills. Also to attend to physical, social, mental and emotional needs, ensuring comfort, safety and wellbeing.
You will need to be a team player who is able to work independently using your own initiative. You will be supporting people with all aspects of their personal care.
Ideally you will be qualified to NVQ in care level 2 however full training will be given to the right candidate.
