We are seeking to appoint an Assistant Psychologist from October 2017 to July 2018. The post holder will support the service delivery of the area teams within West Sussex Educational Psychology Service and have opportunities for working with a range of professional groups, children and young people, parents and carers. The post is an opportunity to apply psychology in a range of educational settings and situations as well as providing support to the Educational Psychologists in each area team. The post would be particularly suitable for those wishing to pursue a post graduate qualification in applied psychology.

The post holder will have opportunities to work alongside team members and also to undertake some work independently. All work undertaken will be supervised by an Educational Psychologist. We are an established, friendly and supportive team with two office bases, in Worthing and Horsham. The post will be based in one of these offices with regular travel between the office bases and around the county being a requirement of the post.

Applicants will require an honours degree in psychology or a recognised equivalent qualification which provides graduate basis for registration with the British Psychological Society (BPS). In addition applicants will require experience of working with children and young people in an educational environment or similar setting.
