The Countryside Services team is a customer focused service who conserve and protect the countryside of West Sussex and promote its enjoyment by providing safe means of access for the public to key WSCC owned and/or managed sites.

This role will be responsible for:
• the delivery of management plans which includes, where appropriate, securing new funding for delivering the plan and associated initatives;
• working with internal and external stakeholders, including contractors and volunteers, to achieve the aims of the service;
• the support to the Countryside Team Leader in promoting the service using tools such as the website and other appropriate means, which may include delivering events.

Currently the key sites this role will manage are Worth Way, Forest Way and Downs Link (North). The role will be based at Buchan Country Park near Crawley and will also involve attending committees and meetings throughout the County.
