Are you looking to gain a professional qualification that will help you grow your career?

Orbis is a public sector organisation like no other, it’s a partnership between Surrey, East Sussex County Council and Brighton & Hove City Council, with expertise, innovation, and customer-focus at the heart of what we do.

Although we’re part of the public sector, we bring a unique commercial focus to our pensions administration work, ensuring we provide best value for all our local authority partners. Right now, we administer schemes with 250,000 members across East Sussex and Surrey. We’re also making history by working in partnership with four London boroughs. We are developing new member and employer portals, and actively pursuing innovative ways of using technology to provide the best possible service to our scheme members.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our growing team as Trainee Pensions Officers. The Pensions team is based in Lewes, East Sussex who run the administration of the Local Government Pension Scheme.

This is a truly unique opportunity to join a ground-breaking organisation that can offer you the chance to grow and develop your career within a forward thinking Team.

You will be responsible for a varied workload providing information to new employees ensuring they are fully aware of their pension rights, liaising with other scheme employers and calculating the range of benefits available to members of the scheme.

We don’t expect you to have any experience in pensions – what’s more important is that you enjoy working with figures and have a strong commitment to customer service.

You will enjoy the challenge of working in a busy team, the ability to work flexibly and be able to prioritise workloads to meet challenging deadlines.

You will be provided with support to study towards a dedicated professional qualification. Home study will be required.
