About the Role

CGL East Sussex is seeking an experienced manager to deliver a portfolio of integrated, accessible, high quality and comprehensive substance misuse treatment services, alongside Cascade Creative Recovery and Intuitive Thinking Skills and a range of other partners, designed to promote recovery, resilience, and self-determination in an asset-based community development approach.

East Sussex STAR services support people in a recovery and resilience-oriented system of intervention; the services are outcomes-focused, and aspirational in their work with service users to realise their identified goals including the attainment of the highest quality of life possible, social reintegration and sustained recovery from problematic substance use, offending behaviour, domestic abuse, worklessness and other problems.

You will bring substantial experience of service management and development, along with a background in a relevant field and a commitment to excellence in service delivery and human resource management. You will also demonstrate good understanding of substance misuse related harm and its impact on individuals, families and communities, and be able to thrive in a culture of high expectation and devolved responsibility.

CGL are committed to creating an inclusive environment, which celebrates difference and allows our staff and service users to flourish. We recruit the very best staff from a wide range of backgrounds, ensuring service users benefit from our diverse skills and expertise. We always work to the principles of fairness and equality of opportunity in all our recruitment processes.

We also expect an assertive approach to ensuring the safety and well-being of all children, young people and adults, and applicants to these posts will need to demonstrate an understanding of and commitment to best safeguarding practice.
