PalmerSport is the leading operator of corporate motorsport events in the UK, based at Bedford Autodrome. With an extensive and varied fleet of high-performance and single seater racing cars including Formula 3000s, the bespoke Palmer JP-LMs, BMW M4 GTPs and new as of 2023, Ginetta G56 GTAs.

We are seeking a talented Sub Assembly Technician to join our dynamic team. As a Sub Assembly Technician, you will play a pivotal role in the assembly and maintenance of components vital to our fleet of high performance vehicles. In your role as Sub Assembly Technician, you will be responsible for:

Key Responsibilities:

• Assembling various vehicle components ensuring maximum levels of attention to detail
• Collaborating with our engineering team to troubleshoot and resolve any technical issues
• Overseeing transmission (Hewland / Sadev), driveshafts and suspension sub-assemblies
• Maintaining detailed records of assembly processes
• Working closely with the PalmerSport Engineering team to ensure timely rebuilds to the highest standards
• Assisting the Engineering team with general mechanical duties when required

You will be / have:

• Previous experience in automotive or mechanical engineering
• Proficiency in assembly techniques and mechanical systems with a gearbox and suspension bias
• Strong attention to detail and precision
• Full UK driving licence is essential
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Due to our event calendar throughout the season, this role will have a requirement to work occasional Saturdays throughout the summer months. Given our location at Bedford Autodrome a full UK driving licence is essential.
