We are looking to recruit a highly motivated Manager to join the night team for the front office operations team at The Goodwood Hotel. You will ensure that all guests receive a warm, memorable and personalised welcome to Goodwood, setting the scene for their stay, anticipating their needs and actioning any requests.

You will have responsibility for managing the night team, ensuring that skills and standards are trained, demonstrated and maintained throughout the team. You will also complete night audits and related accounting procedures, be responsible for the security of the hotel and the night operation alongside managing all costs and salaries related to the department.

The successful candidate will be able to work under pressure and to manage, develop and motivate others. You will have relevant experience working in a hospitality or service industry with previous experience in a customer facing role. You must be confident, numerate and have well developed customer service and interpersonal skills. Excellent organisational skills, attention to detail and the ability to demonstrate initiative are fundamental. . Knowledge of a Front Office systems and experience in call handling is desirable.

The hours of work vary according to the Hotel's operation; these hours are predominantly during the night but may change if the operation of the hotel demands. Weekend and bank holiday working is required.

Due to the rural location of the Goodwood Estate, own or reliable transport is essential.
