This is an excellent career opportunity for a role holder with ambition and drive to work in a busy and varied Higher Education environment. You will be MCIPD professionally qualified (or equivalent) wishing to work in a busy and varied role alongside experienced and committed managers and staff who will welcome your professional input.

You will be able to contribute fully to operational and transactional HR processes and procedures, as well as using your knowledge and experience to advise on a broad range of people management issues, including formal employee relations policies and procedures. You will be able to apply your thorough understanding of employment law with the ability to quickly develop an understanding of the University''s culture and strategic objectives. The role would suit an individual with excellent people and communication skills and significant experience of working with teams of staff and managers at all levels.

Providing a helpful, responsive, professional, customer-focused service working within a small and agile Human Resources team to promote the University''s People Strategy agenda, you will work proactively with a range of staff and external organisations to support the wider health and well-being agenda across the University. Experience and knowledge in employee engagement is a distinct advantage.

It is essential you have a proven track record of supporting a range of HR matters in a large and complex organisation. Key skills and experience will include: evidence of recent relevant CPD, a commitment to ongoing professional development, excellent written and verbal skills and attention to detail, and ability to produce work to a consistently high standard in a timely manner.

Although the successful post holder will need to work at all the University campuses the HR offices are located at Chichester.

Informal enquiries about the recruitment process are welcomed by Helen Girling, Human Resources Manager and Deputy to the Chief Human Resources Officer on 01243 816120 or email HR@chi.ac.uk.
