This is an exciting time to be joining the University of Chichester to take responsibility for shaping, steering and driving the University''s strategy and growth in the academic portfolio, external partnerships and research.


Demonstrating entrepreneurial energy and the capability to increase third stream income through business engagement, the post holder will lead the strategic development of the University''s health programmes in partnership with local NHS Trusts and maximise the return on investment in the recently-opened Engineering and Creative Digital Technology Park.


Reporting to the Vice-Chancellor, as a senior member of the Vice-Chancellor''s Group, the post holder will be an exceptional leader with significant strategic and operational experience gained at Board (or equivalent) level within a higher educational context. The post holder will work alongside the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Student Experience), and will deputise for the Vice-Chancellor as required.


The post holder will develop, promote and champion the distinctiveness, quality and profile of the University through providing clear vision, informed academic and professional service leadership and sound management. The post holder will share the values and ambitions of the University as we move to the next stage of our 180-year history of providing distinctive and accessible higher education in West Sussex.
