Our large Estate Management Team, provides a range of professional services across our University. We are looking for someone who will take a creative approach to change, who challenges assumptions and enhances existing practices within a changing environment, successfully juggling a variety of projects and established teams.


Based primarily at our Bognor Regis Campus but expected to work across both campus and at various other sites in Chichester you'll be responsible for maintenance and on site contractors to provide an efficient and timely delivery of Estate Management activities.


With the opening of our new GBP 35 million Technology Park you will see exciting new changes to our Bognor Regis site. New Courses, more students and an increase in its profile, locally, regionally and nationally. This new role requires a pragmatic, technically focused manager who can work effectively with their teams to ensure the site remains functionally operational, sustainable and secure at all times.


It's essential you can demonstrate you can balance the technical and people focused aspects of the position with a recognised background in M&E installations, repairs and management, including knowledge of complex mechanical systems including Air Conditioning, Chilled beams, BMS and modern district heating systems; knowledge and skills in the management of building maintenance covering all trades, able to manage people with a customer focused, helpful and flexible approach to work, which will support the University Estate Management "don't walk by" system to enable issues to be dealt with quickly and effectively.


This position may be required to support an on-call rota for which an allowance is paid.

The University offers you a 37-hour working week; 25 days' paid holiday (rising to 27 days' in your fifth year of service), Bank Holidays and University closure period (e.g. between Christmas and the New Year).
