Institute of Education, Social and Life Sciences We are currently seeking a Placement Coordinator to join the School Partnership Office. This post is fixed term for up to one year to cover a period of maternity leave commencing early October. Work placement activity is a central activity of the Department of Education’s student experience and will involve short and longer term placements in schools. The post holder will be responsible for promoting and coordinating these activities, and developing a strong portfolio of opportunities for the benefit of the Institute of Education, Social and Life Sciences its students and client organisations. The post holder may also be required to support international student exchange activities. You will have a good general education to A level or equivalent, with a high standard of literacy and numeracy. You will demonstrate good interpersonal and communication skills, including a professional telephone manner and the ability to build relationships, respect confidentiality, negotiate and influence others. Previous administrative experience is crucial as is the ability to undertake high volume tasks and work to tight deadlines. You will be approachable, adaptable and conscientious with a strong customer service focus as well as pro-active, enthusiastic and enjoy working as a member of a small team. This role could be an excellent secondment opportunity for University employees wanting to develop their understanding and knowledge of school placements.
