Purchasing Assistant

Salary circa £20,000-27,000 per annum (dependent on experience) + company benefits

Due to continued success within their business, we are currently recruiting for a Purchasing Assistant to join a growing entrepreneurial company based in Chichester.

This award-winning company has an impressive track record of year on year growth, which is supported by a very hands-on and commercially minded team of Directors. The role would suit someone who is motivated by success, has excellent numerical skills, IT competency, and who has ideally dealt with suppliers / stock ordering previously.

In this role, you will be:

• Supporting the Purchasing Manager with all administrative tasks
• Planning stock demand
• Assisting with placing and negotiating orders with different suppliers
• Confirming receipts of orders with the supplier and confirming delivery dates
• Chasing outstanding purchase orders
• Updating databases with live information and progress
• Negotiating prices with suppliers and ordering from the most competitive
• Working closely with the sales team and keeping them up to date on progress / delivery times Supporting the warehouse with reporting on damaged goods and reporting
